Sheila Bialek collection on Lillian Hoffman Soviet Jewry activism 2010-2011.

The collection consists of the six-volume work entitled Freedom From Tyranny: Lillian Hoffman's Struggles & Triumphs to Save Soviet Jewry (7th ed., New york : Sheila Hoffman Bialek Foundation, 2011), a work compiled by Hoffman's daughter Sheila Bialek to document her mother's life and work in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Hoffman's Soviet Jewry activism. The volumes reproduce photographs, articles, correspondence and other documents illustrating her various activities and, in particular, her efforts on behalf of Soviet Jewry. A video recording of recollections of Hoffman by former Soviet refuseniks and Soviet Jewry activists, created in 2010, is also part of the collection. Additionally, there are several news articles about an event Bialek held in East Hampton, N.Y. in August, 2010 in honor of her mother's accomplishments at which the video was shown. In addition, there are two DVDs of "Freedom from Tyranny: Lillian Hoffman's Struggles and Triumphs to Save Soviet Jewry" (one edited, one unedited four hour version) including conversations between journalist Karl Grossman and Soviet Jewry experts Glenn Richter, Peter M. Sichel, Gal Beckerman, Yasha Gorodetsky, and Sheila Hoffman Bialek.
